Relationships when Feeling Unappreciated
Do you have areas in your life that need to be improved? The bad part of this is that there is better than bad in the world, but this can be hard to change sometimes. When it comes to relationships, we often look at the bad parts of being in the relationship and we forget that we take the good times for granted and we forget to appreciate the times where things are good and where things are happening that make our lives great.
This kind of relationship can be one that has no spark in it. We often only see what is in front of us, but we forget that the relationship worked good before, before the problems came.
We have the habit of often going back to the bad things and we take the small problems as being more frustrating than the big things.
We worry about things that we cannot control and then we don’t appreciate the good things. We look at the relationship in a way that is confused, and we miss out on opportunities to make our relationships better.
Having a Healthy Relationship
To change your idea of love, you have to have a comfortable situation with your partner without drama and without hurt. This has to be a peaceful thing and satisfying. Here are some things that you need in your relationship in order to have happiness:
One thing is that if your partner loves you, they will accept you to be who you are. Do not try to change for them or be someone else. Have your real self and do not worry that they will judge you.
You and your partner should be best friends. You should be committed to each other and you should be intimate, there to support each other in all things and care for each other’s needs.
Comfort and Closeness
You should be close to your partner and you should be comfortable in all ways. You should be able to feel stable with them and you should know that your partner trusts you and accepts you.
Different and Alike
Your partner and you should have things in common, but you should have even more things not in common. You should have different hobbies; different friends and you should be able to enjoy different kinds of foods.
At the same time, you should be able to enjoy eating together and spending time together.
You Are a Team
Together, you and your partner should be a team. You should use the words, “we” and there should always be an interconnected agreement. You should share a closeness in your relationship that is not breakable.
They Make You the Best You
Your partner should help you to be the best that you can be. They should help you to grow and help you to experience new things in your life. They should expand you and help you to be stronger.
Both you and your partner should have power together. You should both make decisions, and you should both have a say in what is going on in life.
They Are Good for You
People want to be with someone that is good for them. They want them to have good qualities and traits. They want them to be smart, trustworthy, and reliable. There are many things that you look for in your partner and when you find a good one, you know that they are good for you.
We all need to rely on people in our lives to do things that we need. With a partner, you should be able to trust them to be on your phone, to be in your bank accounts and to commit to doing things that are necessary to making the relationship work.
No Big Issues
Even though all relationships have some problems, these are easy to forget because there is more love than problems. If you find that you have issues that are bigger than your love, you need to look elsewhere for love.
If you are in an abusive relationship, get out. Spend time reflecting on these things and see what you can do to make sure that your relationship is safe and healthy.
Look at your relationship and see if you can consider it to be a good relationship or if it needs a lot of work. What are some of the things that you lack? What do you need to do better at? What does your partner need to do better at?
When you look at your relationship and you find out what you can make better, you can see that you can make your relationship work out well.
You should notice that there are more strong areas in your relationship than weak areas. You need to be able to focus on what is good and not what is broken.
You should be seeing positives, but you should never just ignore the negative if you are in a bad relationship and you are justifying that by making things look better than they are. A real relationship built on love is built on respect and friendship as well as love.
Don’t pretend that you and your partner don’t have issues. Appreciate that you and they can work through things and that you can make mistakes and fix them., Learn to appreciate that your partner is there to help you to be good and help you to be stronger than you realize that you can be. That is what a good relationship is built on.
